I haven't mentioned this in awhile so I will just to irritate you and because I'm bored at the moment.

It's a hidden forum where you can only see what you post. If you have any worthy news and you post something fairly well written in that forum just give me a PM and I will gladly move it to the front page for everyone to see. However, non content news will not be submitted such as a simple link or too little info posts. Please no copies of other sites exclusive news either. I don't want to get sued. lol

With the major update to vBulletin lurking on the horizon it has been suggested that we raise the $130 to take advantage of the presale upgrade offer. So if you would like to donate then just use the subscription manager in your usercp located here. Joystick Required Forums
If you're already a subscriber then you can make a one time donation as well. Any excess funds collected will go to pay for kwip's beer rations. j/k Don't get excited kwip.

Evochron Legends version 1.158 is now available for download and includes the improvements and fixes listed below. This update is required for multiplayer compatibility.
The installer also works as an updating program for older versions of the game. It can be downloaded at: Freeform Space Combat / Trader and Mercenary Simulator (PC Space-Sim) - Evochron Legends

I have sold one of my smaller sites. I used the money for some stuff I need. However, there is enough left over to continue my server for Six more months. Well, seven actually if you count the current month that started on the 13th.
What this means is that JSR will remain open untill at least April 13th 2010. Who knows, maybe a new game will come out, maybe we'll get new active members and maybe donations will take the rest of the burden off my shoulders. Maybe even some of you that posted in the other thread and convinced me to stay online, will actually hang around and post more.
Blah blah blah
So there it is, a small reprieve. Take it as you will, make of it what you want.

Just a heads up to our few loyal members. JSR will be shutting down soon(tm). The actual date will depend on billing dates but it will by Oct 13. I post this with a very sad heart and tears in my eyes. It has been a labor of love. But the fact is that I just can't afford it anymore. So unless someone wants to buy it the doors will close, the engines shut down, and the old pile of junk will fall back to Earth and burn up in the atmosphere.
With the recession and all the layoffs I have endured, plus the increasing needs of my kids as they reach High School age, there is just no money for JSR. And there certainly aren't enough Jumpgaters left for member support. I'm sure this will make some happy and some sad. Most will be indifferent to say the least. The indifferent ones are the reasons sites like this shut down.
