We got our rebate stimulus and it's gone already. I had it safely tucked away in the bank and then somehow I found myself in a furniture store haggling with some kid. I left him standing there scratching his head wondering where his bonus was going to come from after we got the price down so low. I walked out scratching my head wondering how my wife got me there.

So, I have done my part to stimulate the economy. Not that I wanted to....

Graaggh what a joke of a game! They call this crap balanced? Arenas? E-Sport? LOL. What the hell is an esport? A bunch of fat slobs sitting infront of a computer where the most strenuous exercise is to lift another handful of cheetos to their cakehole?

I'll tell ya, if you haven't ever experienced the PURE FKING JOY that is shaman PVP in wow... don't bother. Okay, so I'm never one to back away from 'hard mode' and pick the easy (read:overpowered) way out. But fuck man. At least in JG you could MAKE a ship work if you were good enough?

The esport garbage I'm attempting to play now? Class > Gear > Skill. If I could think of more things to put between gear and skill I would. Oh snap, I outplay this dude 100% but I still get to lose because buddy is a no-life 12-hours a day raider, or he win-traded his way up to a +2000 rating and got his full PVP set.

What the hell is this shit! Garbage is what it is yo.

HURRY UP Jumpgate Evolution, I CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE OF THIS.

I want to win because I'm better, and lose because I screwed up bigtime. How hard is that? Fk the useless mouth breathers that can't aim and think "WOW IM AWESOME my gear is so much better, that means I'm just a better player!"

Dont even get me started on the "community". Bahahah.. state of the world now I guess.

F*** YOUUUUUUU
PS Blizzard you can go to hell if you think I'm buying another one of your games. Back in the day you were a sweet game company, and now you're just another money-sucking corporate bitch who sells out the warcraft universe for arenas and esports.

THE END.

PPS BUFF SHAMANS :(

More dubious is the Windows Product Activation update, which makes the XP installation process more Vista-like. This means you’ll no longer be forced to input your Windows product activation key during installation (although you’ll still have to do so within 30 days or your OS will stop working).
However, it also means Windows XP will be tracking your hardware configuration in much the same way that Vista does, which could lead to your computer being disabled in the event that you change out fundamental components such as your motherboard or processor.
All things considered, Windows XP Service Pack 3 proves to be a fairly anticlimactic final release in the XP service pack line. It won’t blow up your computer, but it won’t make it very much better, either.

Not sure if the censor got the title or not, but pretty much I'm kinda disappointed right now...

Last night I was laying in bed watching TV on the laptop...long story short I needed to replace season 1 from my torrent drive to my media drive.

Well it wasn't showing up as a network share, so I decided I'd wait till today to figure out why.

So I came home, and sure enough the Western Digital MyBook 1TB drive I have was in its 'sleep/"der der der"' mode. Ok, it done that no big deal. Pull the power, power back up.

Ok, its now showing coolness. Ok, lets replace this low quality season 1 with the new high res version.

Copy, copy copy, 5 minutes remaining, copy copy copy copy copy, still 5 minutes wtf its been 10.

Maybe I need to restart, ok lets shut down the apps that are open... WTF do you mean not responding, *random key bashing here*

So now I sit here, waiting through the longest check disk in the history of computers, phase 4, 1 bar of many many bars in the progress area.....

I'm gonna be royally pissed if this RAID1 array is some how not really as good of a "safe" backup plan as I expected. Hopefully if for some reason 1 of the drives has failed I can pull it out and get the data off...

Better yet, hopefully the scan disk will complete some time this year, tell me everything is roses and I won't have to buy yet more hard drives....

On top of all that, now I can't play video games cause I'm busy doing this checkdisk....

I need a hug :pi_cry:

Profiles

I need a new thread to talk about profiles. These are new and raw so don't bombard me with all the things they don't do. I am only interested in what I can make them do without touching the existing code. I'm sure jelsoft will be changing them as they get all the complaints in. So don't think I don't listen just because I won't do anything about it. I am also over there putting my two cents in with all the other owners of vBulletin. I can guarantee you that.

Anyway, I figured out how to capture the click event for the tabs without touching their code. So I am going to add your Jumpgate data as an AJAX update when someone clicks the tab. It will probably check the age of the cash before it runs off to JOSSH to get the data though. Don't want happy clickers pissing off Istvan.

I think this time the data will stay for historical reference when a pilot goes TRI-C. Maybe tag it as archive data when that happens. It will also know when the owner of the account is viewing it so I may add AJAX calls in there to check statistics and evaluate progress. Thus eliminating the need for the pilot lister.

Things I don't like about the profiles.

The background image set up is rather simple.
The profile image album is public. Why?
All the user CSS is in the page causing the pages to load slower. I may develop a hack to save this as files for each user. If someone doesn't beat me to it.

Now that vBulletin 3.70 is Gold there will be lot's of mods coming out for the profiles. Hopefully something useful for us. I am already half finished with one to swap out the IM and status icons for custom styles. I just have to figure out how to change the one by the user name up top without touching the code.

My biggest challenge right now is coming up with a pilot data template that works for the data but still works with the user customizations. Anyone want to design the page to insert in there?

So any ideas? Complaints? Likes? PIE?

John was a salesman's delight when it came to any kind of unusual gimmick.

His wife Marsha has long ago given up trying to get him to change.

One day, John came home about noon and told Marsha that he had gone to a
nearby city and purchased a Robot. It was no ordinary robot, but it was
in fact a Lie Detector. He said it had to charge 4 or 5 hours, and then he
would show her how it worked.

At 5:30 that afternoon, Tommy, their 11-year-old son, came in from
school, nearly 2 hours and 15 minutes late. Both parents were understandably
angry.

'Where have you been? Why are you over 2 hours late getting home?',
they asked.

'Several of us went to the library to work on an extra credit project,'
said Tommy.

The Robot walked around the table and slapped Tommy, knocking him
completely out of his chair.

'Son, this robot is a lie detector, now tell us where you went after
school.'

'We went to Bobby's house and watched a movie.'

'What did you watch?', asked Marsha.

'The Ten Commandments.'

The Robot went around to Tommy and once again slapped him, knocking him
off his chair.

With lip quivering, Tommy got up, sat down and said, 'I am sorry I lied.
We really watched a tape called Sex Queen.'

'I'm ashamed of you Son,' said John. 'When I was your age, I never lied
to my parents, never tried to see dirty pictures much less dirty movies,
told dirty jokes, nor did I misbehave.'

The robot walked around to John and delivered a roundhouse right that
not only knocked him out of his chair, but out the back door and half way
across the patio.

When he came back inside, Marsha was bent double laughing, almost in
tears. 'Boy, did you ever ask for that one! And you can't be too mad with
Tommy. After all, he is your son!'

The Robot immediately walked around to Marsha, and literally slapped the
shit out of her, not once, but three times.
