*Octavian Faction **Mission** Pushed to Completion by Muti-Factional Consortium*
from the Darkspace Newswire

*Octavius Core Station* – After a little more than a week, the Octavian-sponsored mission to increase the production output of its factory in Great Pillars Station was completed shortly before 5am Ekoos Time on 109.9.14. The final delivery was fittingly made by pilot InterOrka of the squad STMG, since it was InterOrka who coordinated much of the effort.

Ironically, the initial call for the mission came from a Quantar pilot, Bayonette, the founder of the mutifactional TRI Privateers organization. Bayonette and the TRI Privateers continued to support and endorse the mission even after Octavian Officials said the new mission would “. . . facilitate the Empire's new drive to increase Imperial dominance throughout TRI space.”

The primary resistance to the Octavian mission came from Quantar pilot Ambrosius who pleaded with Bayonette and other Quantar FM-supporters to withdrawal their support, pointing repeatedly to the Octavian’s states objective of Imperial Dominance. Ambrosius also launched attacks on FM shipping and attempted to disrupt the flow of FM commodities by moving them out of Octavian space. Ultimately those attempts were unsuccessful largely because of a defense effort led by Octavian pilot Purge – who accumulated a significant bounty for his efforts.

“How does a Child of the Light turn from that Light so completely?” asked Ambrosius of his fellow Quantar, “Especially a Light so beautiful and compelling -- and one that so clearly illuminates one's Path?”

Lead mission-endorser Bayonette called for official recognition of the effort: “Several pilots were particularly-dedicated to this mission and I would now ask that those pilots involved and familiar with this mission to contact TRI Recreation and Morale Department (TRI-RMD), using the Medal Nominations interface, and nominate those pilots most-worthy of recognition for appropriate medals.”

One of the interesting sidelights to the Faction Mission was the revelation that STMG was no longer recognized as a squad in the TRI Database. Some called it a glitch, others called for investigation. Quantar pilot Ambrosius added that STMG and TRI Privateers had made themselves enemies of Quantar: “Their recent actions have made them "Enemies of The Path." They'll be targets to me well beyond the completion of this FM.”

As of the morning of 109.9.15 (Ekoos Time), no Duelists had been produced at the new facility and only 15 were on sale at station markets. It is unclear whether the Octavian factory is offline, whether production is being done in secret, or whether pilots are simply not utilizing it.
