Win a Plushy Flux at Joystick Required

You may have seen them recently or remember them from Jumpgate past. Plushy flux were all the rage and a part of Jumpgate lore. Now you can get one for free and at the same time help Joystick Required. What do I have to do you ask?

The answer is simple. Just keep posting here as you always have. We will be giving points out for posts based on certain criteria. We will also be giving points for registration referrals to JSR that participate in the community. Whoever has the most points at the end of the contest, and meets the minimum criteria, wins. It's that simple.

Now I know what you are thinking. But rest assured, no spammy fluffy posts will be counted and any crap will be deleted. And anyone who abuses the privledge of being in this contest will be removed from contention.

Some rules regarding post counting and points accrual are as follows.

This contest will begin on 10-17-2007 at 00:01 PDT
This contest will end on 10-31-2007 at 23:59 PDT

Forums eligible for the contest are:

The rules on what counts towards this contest are:

Only Posts in the above listed forums will be counted.
Posts will only be counted if they have a minimum of 50 characters each.
Registration referals will be counted during this contest.
Only referrals who make at least 5 posts will be credited to the contestant.

The rules for aquiring points are:

All counted posts are worth 1 point each.
Each different thread posted to is worth 1 point each. Awarded once per thread.
Each different forum posted to is worth 2 points each. Awarded once per forum.
Each discussion you start in a counted forum is worth 3 points each.
Each counted registration referral is worth 5 points each.

The winner must have at least 100 posts, have started at least 10 new threads and have posted in at least 5 different forums.

The Prizes are as follows:

First place
- One cuddly Plushy Flux hand made by Hornets Mom
- $25 payable by paypal
Second Place
- $20 payable by paypal

More prizes may be added if we should acquire any sponsorship.
So if you have been holding back on those Jumpgate Evolution suggestions or have some thoughts on any other topic now is the time to act.

All posts must meet the rules of this site and be on topic to the forum posted in. If there is too much abuse then this will be the first and last contest. If it turns out good we will have more.

The rules do not mean the posts have to be complicated stuff. Your normal conversations on topics is fine.

Bumping of very old threads is not allowed, so please, don't.

Should no one meet the minimum criteria then, well that would be sad now wouldn't it.

I have written a vBulletin add-on product to run this contest. I will be testing it and tweaking it during this contest. Once I work it all out the sale of this mod will help bring in new income to JSR.

We could use Jumpgate tutorials or Jumpgate fiction. There are lot's of things that members can contribute to make this a better site and have a chance at wining.
