meh.. good or bad all depends on who you ask.

I see no difference in having 2-3 characters or 2-3 accounts. except the price.

You can talk about respect when it comes to being a fulltime pirate with only 1 account. But noone respects the pirates when they see the bounty.. Even if it isnt your factions bounty.

There are many that separate accounts. It is the ones that are unable to do so that I refer to.

Using only one account is all fine and dandy when its possible to fly only one account. However with the current bounty rules that is impossible with any people on the server. There is no way a loaded heavy tow with a bounty (trying to make money) is going to make it anywhere.

Now these days with like 8 pilots online, sure its possible, but back in the day, just getting a scout sector to sector while trying to work off a bounty was almost impossible.

I always tried to keep my accounts seperate also. None of my accounts were 'mule' accounts or haulers or 'make money' accounts. They are all RP'd as fighters for their respective beliefs. I have been guilty of docking at my POS in Dark Gateways from time to time as different characters to pick up flashfires and missiles, but thats about it.

I did develope a nice undetectable way of laundering money from one account to another back in the day by storing mattcons in your POS and then buying/selling them with your other character, but I never really used it other then as a test.

Anyway, it's impossible to stop money-making/fighting specific accounts unless we disable multiple accounts (which i'm all for, actually) but we know that wont happen in Jumpgate Evolution.

Well i this point i must disagree, cant make any Statements of how people separated their accounts on the US server, cause i never played there.

But I am 100% sure that none of the "bad guys" on EU server serparated their pirate from the money making/hauling accounts, i have to point out that i got 1st Hand information from one of my best pals( we know each other 15 years). He played on the outlaw/pirate side and delivered me some good information on whats going on there and who is using witch account. But even he wasnt able to separate accounts .. as he recognized what this behaviour caused on the server and what it did with the gameplay he cancled his moneymaking account to give the other ppl an example of how to play. But as we all know .. it was all to late.

Well u know me AL , i always was after solving this problem on Eu Server , unfortunaly my methods suffered a bit, because i was to much involved in the game to focus my mind on whats really needed, so i was never able to make a post with some emotional distance from the game and well i know that i often posted some bad things in German Jumpgate forum and i want to apologize for that.But my opinion , witch nobody have to share, is that in most cases multi accounting is a special form of cheating and ND needs to deal with it if they ever want to provide a good game for all types of gamers.

Klar, wenn auch mit wenig Online-Zeit. Das zweite Kind ist in anmarsch und das nimmt mich dann doch etwas in beschlag. Aber mein Account ist nach wie vor bezahlt und QSSP darbt so vor sich hin.
