One thing about the multi account thing,, most people have 2 accounts if not 3 or more, you all know I have 3 which at one time were all active you only know It was me because I didn’t try to hide it.

So having 3 avatars but only paying for one acc, doesn’t really seem like a big thing as I said most have multi accounts in which to be a ahole if they wish. Multi acc's or multi avaters whats the differance?

I see what you are saying, however the things I see a couple of reasons for not liking multiple char slots on one account.

First, alot of the asshattery on the net is caused by younger kids. I myself was quite the asshat when I was a kid...starting in BBS door games and all the way through my first real online games. I was about to get my folks to use their cc to subscribe me to 1 game....but the odds of getting them to buy me multiple subscriptions to the same game were slim. Since I can only draw on my own experience here, I'm guessing that alot of the kids who would be asshats....you know, that's a good name for a book "The kid who would be Asshat"...those kids would have to keep it in check somewhat since they couldnt' get the folks to buy a second and third account for their tom foolery.

Second, since Jumpgate is a game where you actually need to fly the ship, you would be able to tell if someone you flew with was suspiciously not around when this pirate who always griefed your squad came calling....Sort of like the Superman and Clark Kent thing. In alot of other games, with two systems you can play both because you don't need your hands on the joystick.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was $15 per month per account....perhaps with a long term option dropping the price as low as $10, but 3 accounts as a standard I would guess would cost $45 a month.

This is exactly why i'm not worried. And to go even farther, with multiple characters on the same account, they can't even log in their other character at the same tiime to lessen suspicion. Multi-Character accounts win. Thanks

I dont think characters should be linked so that you know always whos account it is. While this may help hurt the ones that just want to be annonym asshats, this will hurt most those that want 2 different types of characters that play different roles.

I would want to be a pirate and maybe also a trader without my trader being blown up for the actions of my pirate. This kills much RP as actions of players are looked at and not characters. We cant forget that this is mmorpg and punishing every character of one player because one of those characters tries to hurt you is simply Out of character.

Also, kids who get their kicks out of attacking 'noobs' etc. probably don't have the patience/mentality to make a hit, and then log off and back on as another character. Most of them would do just what is currently done in Jumpgate when an individual like that shows up. They make their hit, then dock at a station and talk smack for a couple hours.

everything that the game design allows is legit game play. So holding grudges to people different styles of play is just stupid.

If someone blue pirated or killed me, it doesnt make me go and kill all blue miners. If you, your faction or your squad cant protect your self from the perpetrator, its your own fault.
