Doesn't matter Jump, cause thats a stupid idea for Jumpgate anyway. If someone "tags" too much flux then he can just jump out and be fine. Also, if that were possible it would be super easy to power level, all they have to do is tow and drag, and the good pilot kills them, which would be much faster than the other way around (the Jumpgate Classic way of doing it)
Plus I sure as hell hope they change the entire way flux works. Normal radar ranges, packs that move from place to place, and not this stupid "oh here are magically the same type of flux that are always here". ![]() |

Plus they can tag steal. Follow you around and try to tag them before you. There is no end to the griefier mind and there is no code to stop them.

We've all see how people take just about any game "feature" and can twist it to work they way they want ... from the economy to flux spawns to sector claims. People will figure out a way around safe zones -- and I suspect that particular feature may even create more incentive for asshattery (as others have already suggested).With regard to multiple accounts, I have known of some second/third accounts in Jumpgate Classic which people played/RPed which really ADDED to the game. Everyone here is so focused on how mutiple accts will be abused -- but having multi accts may allow/encourage more people to use them for interesting RP characters, which could add a lot to the game. I'm all for "marking" the seconds but not identifying them back to their primary and not limiting them on a shard.

I know most here dont have much faith in game moderation due to the Themis era but MG had a set of "Rules of conduct", break those rules and you got banned either temp or perm. Human game moderation is the only thing that can stem asshattery in online games.

I have myself been victim to asshattery in Eves safe zones and as has been pointed out safe zones dont then allow for punishment of that asshat, but a bit of planning can prevent it. Where as I am more than willing and capable of getting myself to the level and go and get revenge eventually, some just arent capable and thats where I get my stand for safe zones from. Jumpgate has always had asshats that level up in a matter of hours and then go rip someone unable and unlikely to get revenge so the asshat wins. Im hoping for a case of large non safe zones where people can run things the way they want. But we need people that dont want to get involved in all the politics that come without safe zones to feel safe and keep on playing so eventually they think hey I might actually try the more real game and eventually get into PvP interaction rather than just PvE. Lets not let our sense of revenge/justice or desire to kill get in the way of other less capable players sense of enjoyment. |
