Current pilots transfered or wiped with Jumpgate Evolution?

Im wondering if the current pilots are gonna be transfered to Jumpgate Evolution or if they are gonna get whiped.

I personally would perfer that the database is whiped for Jumpgate Evolution. Since its a new game that is gonna attract new people I would think its more fair if everyone started at zero.

I imagine its going to be new accounts. Beta sign ups would suggest it. So not so much of a wipe as a fresh start.

I think we established in that other thread that it is obviously getting wiped since this is a new game and they would actually want to be able to market it.

Like I said, I dont think a wipe is needed. For Jumpgate Evolution its a beta sign up so there's nothing to wipe, you sign up new and start new.

The old Jumpgate could still be kept running unmanned by paid GM's, I'm sure its not heavy on the overheads so why not keep it running, un-updated and unchanging until the world and his uncle goes to vista.

Wipe seems to be the general consensus speculation. Time will tell.

Wipe makes sense. Give the current players and old returning players an badge painted on their ship or something similar. WWIIOL does this for their old members, the tanks and planes have a blue badge on them, so you can recognize a player as an "old timer".

Everything else credits/kills/etc. should be reset to make it fair, IMHO.

If they let McPlowed carry over the Billions he made by exploiting the economy, they should just say so now. That way I can move on to some other game...

That's funny, I just heard McP saying "If they take away my billions just because daslog is threatening not to play a game he hasn't played in years, while I have played throughout the highs and the lows . . . THEN I QUIT!"

Yes I matter farmed along with everyone else. You just can't have anything close to a functional economy when people already have more money than they will ever need

Okay, I want to bring up something else on this thread: IF we have a wipe, as seems to be at least the pilots consensus, then it should extend to currently banned pilots. A fresh start for EVERYONE. Sure, some cheaters will continue to cheat and be banned forever in the new Jumpgate Evolution. Others have hopefully matured and deserve a second chance. I've argued with the GM's over this point a couple of times in the last several years, only to be told that permanent means permanent. Fine. New game should mean a new start for everyone. And if I must give up all my stats, let me keep my name and as Alphabet suggests, some kind of marker to indicate this "ain't my first rodeo".
