The difference between WoW and Jumpgate

I don't know, I don't think 3rd person is such a big deal. If they randomly do give us bigger ships like capital class ships, you sure as hell aren't going to be in first person and still be able to see wtf is going on. In regular Jumpgate I'd always wished I could pop out into 3rd person to get a better view of my ship while bored flying to some sector across the galaxy and still be able to see my HUD. Now, if I ever needed to actually fly, first person POV would be my choice, simply because you can control and see what you're doing in a fighter easier with first person.

I certainly can't say that a tiny feature like that would make or break a game for anyone, and if it does... that stick rammed up your behind went a little too high imo...

Well that really goes back to the same old thing, ND is trying to make money off this, and do to that is to relate it to the biggest and most profitable MMO company and game out there, Blizzard and World of Warcraft. 10 million accounts x $10-$15 per month = lot o money. We're lucky ND is even trying to go up against WoW with the incredibly small number of "successful" MMO's versus the incredibly large number of "failed" MMO's. ND will be lucky to get even a fraction of the number of players WoW has, no matter how good Jumpgate Evolution is. I'm not expecting even a million Jumpgate Evolution players, but even if there are 1000 online on Jumpgate Evolution, it'll be better than Jumpgate Classic.

Spaceship Assault would have been a more accurate title than Jumpgate anything.
