Actually, Peter Jackson is shooting a new movie (The Lovely Bones) near me -- in fact one of my co-workers' neighborhood is going to be the setting for shooting over the next couple of weeks. Liet, I can get you the address for mapquesting, for the right price.

I think I understand now the question lol (after reading 3 pages of posts). Well, to me, Jumpgate, well, I dont think I've ever put that much time into it, compared to many others.. 3500+ hours in around 7 years is not much.

I think that RL has changed a lot for many of us and that we will not see the same level of playtime as we did before, and as such, most of the pvp and RP enforcement will be done by new players or current players who still play a lot (many?).

I most certain I'll be oct again.. but Im not sure I'll end up being a factionalist again. My heart is now divided by 2 squads and probably a third. I've enjoyed my times in OEC, I wont forget them, and the friendships... still go on from there, and I truly appreciate that. But, along the way, StormRaiders became kinda like my son, and I miss all of those pilots that joined up and even those who dumped their cargo haulers, miners and such and joined their brothers and sisters to fight the current menace of the time... the shooting of DragonIce (Synergy), fighting the Hobos (miss ya G.Rasputin) and last the mighty Disposable. Those times were awesome as well, a carebear squad that fights back in unreg... I cherish those days too.

Oh, and lest not forget the WOW events. It was both a privilege and a pleasure to serve with Feldman in KH and with the LL crew twice. It led me to meet folks that normally I wouldnt be flying with.

And the new one... ISU. My time here has been short but my tour hasnt finished, is just starting. In some ways ISU is like SR.. we live in unreg, we favor noone, but is more into PvP than what Im used to, and its going to be a challenge.

I also miss SHUG's OMEGA. It filled the gap when OEC disappeared for some time previous to EP2 (if memory serves well... which most probably is not).

So, who knows, lets see first Jumpgate Evolution going into beta/retail and we'll see.

You see, this is where you and i differ in thinking, and it was this defeatest attitude that decimated OEC before you and i were forced to fight UZI basically with 2 veteran pilots and an influx of newbies.

Things may have changed in EVE, but if i have anything to do with it in Jumpgate Evolution, whatever we decide to do, will be done with power, honor and glory.

Tex, one of my fondest dreams was that whole conspiracy thing you and your squad came up with, but yes we're all older now, some of us have aged 20 years, i'm have a completely different lifestyle to what i used to have, my oldest is 16 going on 30 and tells me "you're getting old DAD"... damn cheek !!

You must admit, without the OEC, SOLNAVY/AQM etc, the game would be have been vastly different and we did what the tools allowed us to do, we didnt have many tools but the the RP machines like Karash and others, complex webs were plotted with interesting things to fight for other than the useless shoot out of boredom thing that gripped the game when i left.

This time around things are vastly different, the game..will be vastly different, i sense that it will be alot more complex and have ultimately more depth to it, the players will also be different, you and i will be the old veterans, you know, the same people that used to play Jumpgate in a squad called the oldies, or oldtimers (bad memory) and they used to have emotes such as "toothless Grin" and things of that nature.

The youngs kids with their fast reflexes and quicker than lightening tongues...fresh out of WOW mmo school will be testing our language filters from the start....... no way in hell i can match that !! but as i've said before, whatever we do, we will do it well

I was there (one of the newbies) fighting UZI, the day we shot down Blk_Angel in oct space, when hell broke loose. It was awesome.

I think you refer to the "Old Farts" squad.

tenz: only if the game allows for bad guys that arent AI. ND saying that they will allow bad guys, and knowing which rules to add and keep out to actually encourage bad guys are two different things.

When I first signed up for Jumpgate Classic, the game allowed for bad guys. Now, the carebear pansies have won and Jumpgate Classic is safer then most MMORPG's. =(
