To be honest it wasn't just the lack of players and the fact that I had done what there is to do in Jumpgate 100000 times over and over that eventually lead to me throwing in the towel. It was also the fact that the politics and the in game community had become stale and not evolving.

The day Jumpgate Evolution launches are we gonna see Sol Navy, OEC and AQM representing the factions with some minor hang around squads? This would more or less put politics back to right where they where 2-3 years ago. Id really not like to see that happening.

The politics and peoples views of each other are in huge need of a refactoring just like the graphics and the game play.

I know personally that I cant play Jumpgate the same way I did back in the days, my current life doesn't resemble my life back then. I cant put in the same amount of time and energy into a game that I put into Jumpgate Classic.

I don't think I'm the only one who wont be able nor wants to play Jumpgate Evolution the same way they played Jumpgate Classic.

Id like to hear what you guys think. Do you want to go back to playing Jumpgate Evolution the way you used to play Jumpgate Classic or do you want to do something completely different?

I'm gonna poke around and see which former wingmen will let me fly with them, and of those groups join the one whose RP most appeals to me. If half of what was going to go into the military patch II makes it into Jumpgate Evolution, it's going to be so much of an entirely different ball of wax it'll be impossible for things to go back to the way they were when most of you left.

Im sorry but none of those squad names mean squat diddly to me, so how they are going to represent anything is yet to be seen, and why would I want to listen to them in the first place?

OV, The Firm, for Oct, QH QSSP, The Brother Hood for Quant and Solidarity for Solrain now they mean something., talking from the military point of view that is or pro factionalist but then you don’t have to be a PvP squad to have your factions interest’s at heart look at The Preservers for example, ( be nice to see them flying about Quant again )

If Vorlon31 makes Flux Clearance, which im sure he will, ( you really don’t want me to send the boys round ) then I shall play Jumpgate-V the same as I play Jumpgate-C I see no reason to change just because some old players have come back, but then Jumpgate-V is going to be a new game so in effect we will all be new players

I can't play any computer game like I used too. I could play a game for hours at a time in the old days, now I have to get up and do something else after half an hour. I suspect now having kids has something to do with it.

Depends on what will appeal to me most in Jumpgate Evolution ... But it will be something in direction of a factionalist, A pirate or some kind of griefer. To grief miners and haulers. so they quit. Yeah. nah jk..

Ill try everything and then decide.. But the decision will be heavily on what kind of ships there will be.
