Re: Jumgate Evolution replacing or concurent with Jumpgate Classic?
You know SD, I just had another horrible thought. From what I've read here and elsewhere, it's common to do a wipe at the end of beta. So using this logic, if I'm accepted into the Beta program, I would build up my little mini-empire only to see it wiped and then have to start all over again ANOTHER TIME! I'm basically a lazy kind of guy. Not sure my poor old heart would handle all the starting over stuff. But NAMES? We should all be allowed to continue our names into Jumpgate Evolution at an absolute minimum.

Man, the beta (once it's open) is going to be chaos. I personally can't wait
. Gotta remember though that when and if you do begin beta testing, the idea is to test it, not just play it. If something can be exploited, broken, or otherwise taken advantage of, it will be once Jumpgate Evolution goes live. |

Re: Jumgate Evolution replacing or concurent with Jumpgate Classic?
At some point, Jumpgate Classic will no longer be viable due to the limited population. It will also be confusing to the anyone looking for the new product. Sadly, for marketing reasons alone, it has to go into the night.
My only questions.....Will this make my serialized limited edition boxed version of jumpgate more valuable? |

![]() I do still have my PlushyFlux though. And Bill: remember man, beta is for testing. If you're worried about "losing" stuff from the beta, you really might just want to wait till Jumpgate Evolution goes live. The beta's going to be purely about making sure Jumpgate Evolution works right - it isn't supposed to be a leg up on the actual game. |

Re: Jumgate Evolution replacing or concurent with Jumpgate Classic?
Yep I made the manta. Haven't made any other types, although I had the pattern mocked up for a 15" long eel. I'll post a poll later today to see how much interest there is in people still wanting one.

I have the boxed version of Jumpgate as well, but the CD Key is used.
