I don't bully people online. Most of the time I take no pleasure in killing them. I'd much prefer they pay for a NAP, or pay me incrementally via my PoD demand. If they don't, I am forced to civ-rip. If I didn't, no one would ever pay me. They would just laugh and fly off... |

And what argument did you tear apart? You still don't seem to want to address the only point I've tried to make in this thread:

I don't give a fuck whether you want to RP or not. Jumpgate is an RP game, where we pretend we are space pilots. Some people are going to pretend to be pirates, others will pretend to be cargo runners. How we prefer to play the game governs our RP choice. The difference between the brats and the 'bullies', is that the brats do not see this. They take it personally. It's not personal, for me. It's a fricken video game. It's fricken role play. If you dont understand that, you shouldn't play a game where we are encouraged to Role Play. Quote:
And just like in real life, if you are getting bullied in a video game either A) stand up and fight, or B) it pays to have big friends. Just like it paid for haulers to have big friends in Jumpgate Classic, like MACK. Whining to get the game changed to suit your playing style which happens to directly nerf other peoples playing styles is NOT the answer. In-game solutions for in-game problems. I didn't know you took meds until just now. Although, I could of guessed. |

You seem to forget the fact that these characters are in accounts that are paid for by people, and those people are the customers the developers want to have. You want to play the game with deep immersion RP, some other people want to be left alone and unwind playing a game after work. Your way is just a different way of playing...but your $15 is just as good as their $15, and as a company interested in profit the devs are going to cater to whichever style gets them the most $$. The difference between the brats and the bullies may be that the brats don't except the bullies way of playing the game, but on the same foot the bullies don't accept the brats way of playing the game. Both sides just want it their own way. Neither is better or more right. Arguing on forums and telling people who prefer a different playstyle that they are brats does absolutely no good. The devs might even acknowledge that there are 2 camps, but if they do, you better hope that your camp can bring in the most $$...because whatever side can do that is the side the game will be designed for - personal interpretations of how to play it aside. |

Jumpgate Classic was never ment to be a game where you can play it while in a coma. If you want to sit back and watch your skills increase, then play a different game... one that caters to those types... like Progress Quest. Quote:
Thus your analogy makes zero sense, as usual. Quote:
Instead, games are designed based on their target audience. ND's target audience is people who enjoy RP and space combat games. If you cant handle RP, and if you cant handle Space Combat, then what the fuck are you doing playing Jumpgate? Why would you continue to play Jumpgate and turn it into a different game? Why should anyone pay these whiners any attention? I don't play Checkers and then start whining that it's not more like Chess. I play Chess instead, because I want deeper gameplay. If i wanted simplistic gameplay after a long hard day at work, then I'd play Checkers. |

Of course, I believe they're going to mix 2 genre's again and we'll have another auto assault on our hands. I don't think that the people who like space combat are the same people who like grinding for gear. There's a lot left to play out...and time will tell. Quote:

Do you ever know what you are trolling about, or do you just go blindly from post to post trying to figure out what would be the most effective thing to say to derail a thread, to force yet more people to hold your hand and lead you blindly through your own fog of fail. |

Re: Jumpgate "Community"
They've been the same for the last 5 years, you don't really need to read them anymore. I wasn't bashing it anyway, just saying that you're no better than the people you're calling brats. You're both the same thing, potential Jumpgate Evolution customers.
p.s. If you gank my hauler in Jumpgate Evolution, I'm going to log into my 70, kill you, and camp your debris. |

The differences we were discussing were the ones specific to how the they handle in-game RP situations and how the rest of the community handles them. If you cant follow the subject of the conversation, and cant be arsed to do the slightest bit of research by reading the post in question, then perhaps you shouldn't contribute negatively towards it. It makes you look like a fucking idiot, and you certainly needed no extra help in that department. |
