What post are we talking about? As I cant seem to find it on ND forums...(yes i know they are down at the mo)

Anyway this thread made me laugh, just when I have given up on these forums a nice flame feast draws me back in if only for a bit at least.

Grim, I read most of your posts because I don't think you are a brat per say. You definately have an opinion and even though I disagree with it often (and sometimes agree), I will say that you are indeed one thing harmful to the community: You are an enabler of a culture that is spreading in Jumpgate that devalues PVP over PVE. Jumpgate did not fail because of people kicking sand in other people's faces...it failed because (like you said) there were serious GAME DESIGN FLAWS...one of the biggest was the inclusion of the Honor Guard system and various tags.

Sure, disagree all you want...but that one change enabled brats to 'game the game' and all sorts of asshattery started occuring with civrips. The same people that complain about wanting to be left alone in a multiplayer 24/7 game are the same people that drive the SILENT MAJORITY out of the game.

I truly mean this post in a constructive way...I have my failings, and I am sure people can point them out all day.

The majority of what's left of the Jumpgate community are people that have always treated me like crap, so I'm not shedding a tear over them. I'm the only one that stuck around to disagree with the asshats...make me wonder why the others didn't stick around.

I don't devalue PvP, I devalue nonconsensual PvP, particularly in cases where the 'versus' part is a joke (70s vs. 40s, fighters vs. civilians). In fact, the whole turret debacle was in order to justify the removal of the HG system entirely. You guys chose your side on that though, enjoy your tags.

What's always really irritated me though, is how people on the pro-nonconsensual PvP side seem to treat the opposing camp like they are sub-human, which I attribute to the devs not giving the ability to punch the bullies in the nose.

That's actually why I posted in this thread. Those whiney little brats are just as much a part of the Jumpgate Evolution community as you are, and I'm fairly certain they outnumber what's left of the Jumpgate community. You folks need to get off your high horses. You're no better than them, and I assure you they view your unwillingness to compromise as idiotic as you view theirs.

Until you're willing to compromise, feel free to continue the same argument that's been going on for 5 years.
