As far as I know, Hermann came from his Mama, I am GM_Awen (because nobody wants to type out Awenyddion)

I can only hope that Scorch brings the beverages to the Christmas Party this year.

I am an employee of Netdevil (I wouldn't want it any other way) we are no longer affiliated with Themis but serious if you have gossip do tell! (send me a PM.. we'll chat over coffee). I'm just getting the hang of the forum thing. I've always been a lurker so now I have to force myself to show that bright sunshiney wit that I have stored up for the last bajillion years of my life. So with that said, I'm hugely approachable. I may be sarcastic but I am also honest to a fault so if I can tell you info, I will.

But really, if we get to have serious community drama can I dress up like Joan Collins and walk around slapping people?? I have SERIOUSLY always wanted to do that. It just seems like it would be freeing right?

So I'm really glad that this was brought up. We're talking right now internally about what we want to release and when. My thought is that we lay it all out there to be sifted through by the masses and then answer questions accordingly. I was a member of the press right? So I always think that more knowledge is good.

It's a matter of managing expectation. On one hand I want you to be really excited about this title because it's an amazing thing that is happening in our offices. This really gorgeous interesting game is being put together by a handful of really talented developers. On the other, this game is an evolving beast. Things change so rapidly that all we have is a basis of what we want. We KNOW we're going to have basic systems and this is what we would like it to do. We can't say that these features are going to make it into the end product because when it comes down to it, this beast needs to launch. If it didn't we'd start saying things like vaporware.

Did any of that make sense? The point in short is that I won't feed you bullsh%%. I will be straight up with you and when I say I can't tell you, it means that I really can't tell you.

Fair enough, but that's why I put the word "currently" in the questions, so you could answer them honestly and then append the answer with "but that might not be the case at launch." Those kinds of things would allow us to discuss back and forth our opinion on what the answer was and what it would mean for the game (aka something to do while we wait), and maybe that feedback would mean something to you guys.

By the way, I'm blunt and sometimes it comes off as rude. Apologies in advance

Makes sense to me. You don't want to have a feature list for your game like the one for Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball (the original one) on Xbox.com a full day after launch that half of the list didn't make it into the game. Tecmo tried to blame Microsoft for leaving an inaccurate list posted, but Microsoft tends to be the most vigilant watcher of information they are releasing of any company that isn't a brokerage. (I think Tecmo had the same feature list up until about a week before launch, and the game went gold way before that, so they had to have known what actually made it into the game...)

That said, you can say anything you want about the game, just attach "tentative" to "feature list" and "anything on this list may be changed or removed at any time", and you're all set. (You did press, right? You've done it before, surely! )
