We are looking at implementing support for the Logitech G15 gaming keyboard into Jumpgate Evolution. What I was wondering is there anyone that currently use this keyboard? What features would you like to see displayed on the LCD readout on the keyboard while you are playing Jumpgate?

It is an all or nothing illumination. They are pretty nice, I am typing on one now.

I like the text screen. I wonder how far you can take that. I see there a couple mod sites out there for it.

I haven't seen a big enough screen of the text display to see how big it is. But the first thing that comes to mind is can you option the chat screen down to it?

That is why I posed the question. I want to know what Jumpgate players would like to see on the screen.

Some examples:

• Shield Strength (bar graph)
• Armor Strength (bar graph)
• XP need for next promotion (maybe a bar graph)
• Credits
• Ammo counts

It would not necessarily be restricted to one screen. There are several buttons along the bottom that could be used for switching between display screens.

Any further ideas would be quite useful.

I don't know which would be preferred, multiple screens in one app, or multiple apps. With the multiple apps route, you can select in the profiler which ones you want the G15 to cycle:

• Equipped items (and their base stats) plus cargo in hold
• Mission(s) including text description
• Current player stats, like cash, PR ratings, etc
• Combat stats: armor, shield, ammo, cap recharge, etc.
• General faction stats, like who's at war with who, FM completion percentages, etc.
• Latest new headlines, if that's going to be updated enough to be warranted
• Chat

Make a huge list of things that CAN be displayed and let the user configure what WILL be displayed.
