I ask because whilst I enjoy shifting medium weighted gear and below around space, I find the heavy stuff simply un-enjoyable and therefore I don't shift it (when the shifting mood takes me that is).

Whilst I appreciate the hands on element involved in hoiking 500 gold in a tow across the galaxy, it is neither hard or particularly 'skilly' imo*, just tiresome, time consuming and really not worth the profits.

So, I would like to see cargo-space mass effect reductions with Jumpgate Evolution so that nothing is as heavy as the heavy stuff in Jumpgate Classic now.

What are your thoughts?

No, it's fine. Evo and I used to have a lot of fun hauling Uranium in MACK convoys when we didn't feel like PvPing.

Cross hairs on the target should mean energy/ammo on the shield/armor! What good is a targetting computer if putting "crosshairs on the target" doesn't equal "hitting the target". I know I can adjust the scope on my hunting rifles for different ammo loads or conditions. Seems like a "targeting computer" should do even better! Missiles that don't hit their target are not all that efficient either. That's the difference between "missiles" and dumb fire "rockets". We need more "Cutlass" type missiles anyway with bigger splash zones and proximity fuses.
If you are targetting a deer running at a sprint from left to right across your field and view and you target his torso from 100 yards, are you going to hit him? No, you have to lead him. Now, what if he stops just as you shoot but you keep leading. You miss. Targetting computer only takes into account exact current speeds of you and your target. If either of you are accelerating or decelerating, by the time the ammo/laser gets there, the target is not where your duelist expected him to me. Hence the "almost" in using your duelist.

Meh..I wanted a "targeting computer" not Kentucky Windage. If that's a WIN button, so be it.

lol me too, i find the duelist to be pontless. hell, i hit more people when NOT using one. that and no matter what hud i use the "square" around the target on top of the duelist reticules blind me or obscure the target so much i cant accurately aim. and ANOTHER thing i have a problem with is when i use lazers i can shoot untill i get shot at, after that the green sheild animation plus the bright lazers completely blind me. im not joking i cant even see in front of me.

and as far as the mass go's i completely agree it should be changed somehow or better incentives for hauling heavy goods over long distances. the only skill it take to haul something heavy is patience. same with mining. i want to see both of those systems reworked along with more "in-depth" pvp. i cannot believe that the most affective techniques are flying in a damned circle. it should be WAY more in depth than than.

Re: is the mass too massy in Jumpgate Classic

Adding lateral thrusters might make a bigger difference than changing mass.

Re: is the mass too massy in Jumpgate Classic

though its less of an issue hauling, manoeuvrability makes some things a little easier. Docking for instance might be made easier.

Yeah, just a flick of lateral trust instead of flip to one side, give it some thrus, flip a 180, thrust some more. Oh wait, overshot it, flip again.

But then again, lateral thrusters are going to bring on a whole new way of flying if they do add something like that

Re: is the mass too massy in Jumpgate Classic

Agreed. I posted on that in another thread but i dont think adding another dimension to flight and therefore combat is such a bad thing.
