New interview with ND's new Community Manager

Quote:
Well, I'm the new Community Manager for Jumpgate: Evolution, their reiteration for the original game Jumpgate. What I will be doing is creating a bond between the developers of this game and our community. We really want to make sure that our community feels like they are a part of our team and that they have a good time while they're visiting. In order to make this happen, we have some really cool super secret projects that we're working on just for our community. We're taking the approach that our community should be able to continue to play and have fun even if they can't necessarily log into Evolution.

hmmmm.

the SS looks like it could be one of the smaller Sol stations, with a CP (or something) in the background.

I wonder what kind of ship is in the foreground. It looks awesome.

I think you are right. It is a station.

No way mang, that's clearly an artifact. A station would be in a much better state of repair.

The massive thing on the right is Sol Core station (in its current form). The other small things are CP's

"...very accessible with a short learning curve..." She's right, this ain't Jumpgate Classic. I'm interested in actually getting my grubbies on it though and SEE for myself instead of listening to other folks descriptions. Oh well.. it'll happen when it happens.

Re: New interview with ND's new Community Manager

I dont remember seing pics on that interview....

Ah, that little thing on the bottom....

Those of you who remember the review on the german site... that looks like the ship with very small wings that appeared there, and looks like leaving a station, not a pos as we know though.

Re: New interview with ND's new Community Manager

I can attest to the fact that the engine is very much as they describe. When we flew we had the option of having "dampeners" on or off. Off = Jumpgate-C flight, On = a little easier with less inertial drift. The beginner pilot will be much less likely to give up on the flight engine and learn to use the drift as we have done. To borrow a phrase, easy to learn - hard to master. It really does describe this well.

Do the training wheels confer a disadvantage in combat? They better.

Re: New interview with ND's new Community Manager

Can't get the site to load, guess I will have to check it out tomorow.

Interesting dahalb, the ability to ignore mass/acceleration.

I wonder if that is level based, or ship based, or just going to be some sort of semi-/win to help level the PvP playing field.

Re: New interview with ND's new Community Manager

if it's an advantage, everybody will use it, so it's not a win button. Relax. Consider it just another change.

If it is even a change. We'll find out soon enough.
