Re: New interview with ND's new Community Manager
LOL. I didn't mean it like that bitme
So since everyone hates me and this site so much, should I just shut it down when these "official" forums come out? I would hate to be an eyesore for the community. |

Since there were no real qualifiers, a post was a post, and all you had to do was reply to what the last guy said with "yeah I agree" or "no I disagree" or "how does that make you feel" and make sure it took you 50 characters to say it. I've always been a fan of the site. I joined in July 2004 and I've been pretty active, I've made 1800 posts (counting this one)...that's about 40 posts a month. The lead for this competition joined in August 2007 and has 1082 posts, or around 270 posts a month. So, it's not surprise I felt like a spammer when I had to increase my posting by about %700 to compete. I apologize to the community for the spamming I feel I've done lately, except for the turrets stuff. I actually just care that much about miners and haulers being made to feel helpless by fighter pilots just because of how they choose to play the game. |

Re: New interview with ND's new Community Manager
Well gee Grim, it should just make you feel like you're part of a discussion community. If you want it all to be meaningful and glorious then go volunteer at wikipedia. A forum is for posting, whether it be inspirational or just conversational. That's what a forum is. It's the local bar not the university. I'm sorry I cared so much to try and get some nice things for our community. Never again I guess.

Re: New interview with ND's new Community Manager
There's a big difference between a discussion forum and a chat room, at least in my opinion. There's also a big difference between posting and spamming, just like there's a difference between having something to say and talking to make noise.
One of the beauties of JSR is though, that I know differences of opinions are allowed ![]() |

Re: New interview with ND's new Community Manager
3 Things:
1) if you don't like the contests we have around here, don't participate. But should you choose not to do so, please try to be quiet about it. Many of us don't care for self-proclaimed martyrs. 2) Nobody on the admin staff is going to start Burninating opinions just because we think they are silly. Ramble, blather, spam, whatever. There is one exception: 3) Stay on topic. If a post doesn't fit in a given thread, make a new thread. For instance, this thread is about an interview with a community manager. Lets keep the posts in that vein, please. |
