Damn they were in my town and I missed it. I should have gone and griefed them in person until they gave me a beta account, damn damn damn.
The ND guys seem pretty cool, and really excited which is good. The interviewer was a retard though, and canadian to boot, eh. I want to see the pirate fight, make a fraps video netdevil!!! |

Keith Cross huh!!! What a waste of 12mins of usable air that guy was. I'm glad Hermann was there to save his a$$. Unfortunately not a lot of new info but worth a look just to hear about the pirate fights they had going...sounds like a blast.

Re: New Interview (w/video, Oooo)
We did get some new news
They are finished with the technical backbone which makes up the fishbowl we will be living in. Now they are developing the features like missions and rule set. It seems to me like there far enough allong that we should be able to get more screen shots or some vids. |

Re: New Interview (w/video, Oooo)
Well, the interviewer seemed quite unprepared but we really don't know the circumstances of how it came about. It may have been a off the cuff thing that happened real quick and the person was not familiar with the existing game or whatever. But still, he didn't seem like he wanted to be there and that made me uncomfortable as a fan of Jumpgate.
The guys at NetDevil knew their stuff though so it won't do them any harm. In fact, it made them look good for being able to take a bad situation and go with it. They should have done simple things like put some drinks on the table to relax the viewer with a more likely setting. Empty cold tables draw the eye too much. I'm sure their was no producer around for that one. ![]() I didn't really hear anything new but seeing the enthusiasm is very encouraging. |

Is it wrong that I want to civ rip that interviewer and grief him out of the game already for being "special"?

Re: New Interview (w/video, Oooo)
Well I learned a little something from that interview. They gave the impression the crafting system will be the same since the AI will be doing tasks like what we do like transporting commodities to help the stations craft stuff. He said that AI can transport an item to help make some kind of gun at the station. And so I think they are keeping the same crafting system.
What I really hope to see is POSs' with the ability to do crafting with the player making the decisions on what to craft instead of the station....and to allow us to craft anything from raw resources. That way we have the AI's own Economy mixed with a Player economy and also players can do (missions) tasks for the main stations of the game (not POSs') to aid in development. Would be quite cool in my opinion... |
