Re: New min spec
Thanks all! Widescreen support is already in the new game now as lots of people at the office have these screens too!
![]() Looks like we might be able to scrap 800x600 after all which the team will love to hear. We are doing lots to take advantage of modern shaders but we are also making sure we run on as many machines as make sense. |

Re: New min spec
Even my "ancient" 3-year old rig (AMD64 3800+/X800 Pro) can pull something like 200fps with everything maxed out and vsynch off. Hopefully it would survive the transition (I'm already running into games I can't play, ie the latest R6)
I just hope the FF2s still all work. That's like the key to Jumpgate pwnzoraging, and what not. I'd hate to be a skill-less pansy that always flees from stuff because they suck...* *oh, wait... |

Re: New min spec
Hmmm... looks like I'll have to get another computer. Mine (running WIN98SE) will barely do the 800x600x16 on this 15" CRT. I'll find some way to play though Scortch, so don't hold back on my account.

Re: New min spec
Lordo:
FYI... 1600x1200 is not widescreen its the regular 4:3 ratio. Use any paint program that allows you to change image size with a lock on ratio and you will see that 800x600 and 1024x768 are the same ratio. Now, 2560x1600 is a widescreen res, much like one of the smaller widescreen res of 1440x900 ![]() |
