Just to note for balance purposes, ships with more gun slots would have an advantage over ships with less. Think how the three LF's differed in guns.
1:1:1:1 = Oct
1:2:1 = Quant
2:2 = Sol
The Sol's would have a huge disadvantage if they wanted to go burglaring, losing half of their firepower, while the Oct would keep 75% of his firepower and so would the Quant.
