I would probably just keep a knife by my desk and carve a line into the wood every time I downed a pilot.
Honestly, I wouldn't miss it too much. But it was a nice way to tell if you were getting better. If your death total was growing faster than your kill total, you probably needed to get back in the sim. |

I enjoyed keeping track of them as I played. I especially like it because to me it shows my growth as a player.
I've always felt that you earn kills in Jumpgate. |

When I ran the OEC in Jumpgate, we had a standing rule that Stats = Nothing.
It was about getting the job done, pure and simple...and I would order many pilots to their deaths to complete whatever objective we had to do. I would be in favor of doing away with them, but players like to see them regardless. |

Imo every pvp'er is a stat whore. If they say otherwise they are lying both to themselves and others.
