Re missiles. While I think missiles would be better if there was a missile lock, I think much of the whining about missiles is over the top. Right now there is a wide skill gap in PvP pilots. Missiles are often used to narrow that gap a bit, but most skilled pilots can manage to avoid all but the worst of spams.

Exactly, just balance the ships with the missiles a little better this time...

The only ship that really had problems was the square nix-box. Now its a little better, but a little added acceleration would really help.

Ya you should no one makes a really good precision joystick there all pery much toys which is a shame. misterio bough that 200$ cougar from thrustmaster he said it was useless and he broke it so he went back to my set up, thrustmaser force feedback afterburner II throttle (modified to get rid of the afterburner indents) and a mouse.

I only need two buttons. The trigger for shooting liet and the FF button to chain whore him to death in his turkey, or chain whore to deep space when he's not in a turkey.


My original FF2 is pretty beat up. I used buttons 3 and 4 for targeting and they have since called it quits for the most part. The twist also requires a huge deadzone. The AB button was also hurting.
I've used my second FF2 for quite awhile now, I bought it when I heard they had gone out of production. It's still in okay shape, but that said I'd love a NIB 3rd, just in case.


edit: it's funny to think I could have continued to PvP for maybe a decade with my (mere) 800 million credits of farm cash, but I would have run out of FF2 talent long before. (due to them wearing out and breaking).

I feel ya man, im on my backup JS which requires 10% deadzone on the X axis...makes aiming pretty hard.

Do you guys know how impossible it is to get a 2nd edition FF2 with the sweet rubberized grip and red LED? It's really ****ing impossible! Or is this one of those Peter Jackson-like things where you're sick of me ranting about it.
