Not answering for Scorch, but my impression was "few" if there were max people online and "many" when there were few people online.
But even this, to me, is scary. A Jumpgate universe full of AI Econ bots working all night (even if "night" is only 3-4 hours on a global server) could make the economy completely meaningless. To me, the balance would have to be a formula that included universal suppliesmof commodities, specific station needs and length of time at critical shortage level. |

I would imagine there will always be LOTS of AI. It will just tone down as more players come online. Space is big so it takes lots of AI just to fill it up. Not all AI are doing player related tasks, take the Conflux for instace.
