Jumpgate IS metric... just go and have a look in the database on the Jumpgate(TM) . . . welcome to your next life . . . There's nothing you can't do site. For example all velocities for guns ARE in m/s. Gun velocity and ship velocity is the same scale. Hence 80.000 distance IS 80.000 meters which is 80km.
As I said its much easier to be immersed into something that you arent familiar with and that is why the distances and speeds work much better for people grown up with the imperial system then the metric system. Just to give you a hint its 366km between Washington DC and NYC. Thats about 4 times as far as the bigger distances between gates in Jumpgate. Tex |
