Questions for Scorch regarding Jumpgate Evolution

Knowing full well that they most likely will go unanswered, I thought it would be fun to see what 3 questions everyone would ask Scorch about Jumpgate Evolution if given the opportunity. Here are mine:

Why is Hermann Peterscheck the best man for leading the Jumpgate Evolution team?

Do you think of Jumpgate Evolution as primarily a PvP game or a PvE game?

Assuming Jumpgate Evolution will have GMs, will our Jumpgate experience look good on our applications for that position?

From my interview:

Mr Slog: In other MMOGs, such as Shadowbane and Eve, players can siege and possibly destroy other player’s towns/stations/castles/etc. Do you have any plans for something similar in Jumpgate Evolution?

Scorch: We are saving the details of our PvP systems for a future date.

Mr Slog: Unregulated space in the original Jumpgate didn’t see a lot of activity. Do you have plans to entice more players to go there and leave the safety of regulated space?

Scorch: Absolutely, but again I can’t go into details yet.

Mr Slog: One thing that players often ask for is the ability to customize their avatar, which you couldn’t do in the original. Will this be changing in Jumpgate Evolution?

Scorch: Man, as much as I want to answer this, unfortunately still no comment.

lol not much detail on that except that we are for sure getting some way of customizing our avatars(ships?). as far as what is up for speculation. i guess thats how much interviews go when games arent even in their betas yet. leaves people wanting more!

They have later said that they will not have avatars in space I'm pretty sure.

Like you won't be able to upload artwork and have it show up in game.

At least thats what I understand from reading here

How will piracy work in Jumpgate Evolution?

What is the possibility of being non-aligned pilot, as surviving, and making your living not just as a pirate, but without the need to interact with your playable faction.?

How will our actions affect our faction, and will we be more in control of our faction decisions, RP?
