Remove list of online pilots from jossh

See, that's why _he's_ a squad leader and _i'm_ a munchkin. Tho from reading this thread, it appears that wolves are more concerned with bigger wolves than with sheep.

I say just give the numbers in the login screen. once you log in have the typical "friendly, squad, enemies" list that you have to update yourself

for instance, once I log in I can go to the Squad page and see how many other -=MACK=- affiliates are online. Or I can go to the Friendly pages and see if that guy who mentored me is on. Or I can go to the Enemy page and look for that guy that podded me last night.

I disagree, 100%. If you check this thread, the people who are wanting the list of online players, are not the pvpers. I have always been a pvper and I do not want an online list of players. Eraser just admitted to wanting to pirate/pvp and not being able to see who is online. Tim wants to be able to see who is online, and it sounds to me like he's a hauler/miner type. If people are concerned about the community feel, or about noobs not knowing many people, give em an in game friends list.

Less information is always bad. I don't believe it has caused any problems for Jumpgate that were not caused by the attitude of those using the information. It's something to look at while at work. It's just another thing that has helped glue this community to the game for all these years.

I agree with not showing whos online or not. I don't mind showing online numbers upon log in.

The only piece of info you are removing is whether or not people are online. I don't think that will crush the community feel.
