I'm nervous being the first one to comment, but I thought it was a good interview. It renewed my hope in the game and the developers, even if it didn't have a whole lot of details about the game itself. I'm glad the leveling isn't based solely on killing Flux and completing missions

I'm hoping for an early fall '08 Beta and me in it! HA! As GG and Toy said, I feel more optomistic after reading the inteview. Then again, I think most of us have been in Scott's corner from the get-go. He made the game we love. He's making another one that he says he can't wait to play. Sounds like something I'll want to play too. We'll see.

I thought I remembered a comment of last quarter '08 being the original goal for release. No link though, cuz I am probably just remembering totally wrong anyways, so I'm not going to bother searching through ND's 'old' forums. Even if that was the goal, I don't think anyone really thought that would happen, especially by the time we got into june with no beta materializing and many comments from devs about how much more work was yet to be done on functionality.

Yeah, it was always 4Q08 in my recollection. Considering that it's 3Q08 now and beta has not even started, I think 1Q09 is a big stretch.

The way ND has redefined beta, I wouldn't expect it to last more than 3 or 4 weeks.
