Some Fantasy Comparisons
Solrain = Human

Quantar = Elves or Dwarves?

Octavian = Orcs or Dwarves?

Personally I think Quants are just another dirty Elf race even if they do mine all the time (supposedly). I would say Octavians would be Dwarves, but most would argue Orcs.

Discuss?

Really? The Fremen? Though the more i think on it, the more i can see it.

Don't know about the Octs as Mech clans tho. From a trekkie perspective i would class them as

Octs = Klingons or Cardassians more the latter.
Sols = Ferengi x Federation obviously.
Quants = Bajoran.
