a lot of times it does, i've seen game with great intros but when played theyre nothing like it. Halo 3 had all of their cut scenes made in game and played like shown on the cut scenes, i loved it. hopefully Jumpgate Evolution will show us more actual gameplay.

IIRC, the original Jumpgate intro movie was all in-game footage, plus a voice-over.

(hint: I mean the one with the dude finding a rich ore vein while mining in a gust or premia, and they get attacked by nasty flux.)

Rofl. I'm sure that n00b in the video quit the game right after being ganked.

Maybe ND should change the intro to people hauling flowers while the flux shoot hugs at them, to appeal to there 'less hardcore' target audience.

Thanks yes upon looking again it does look very much like the Halcyon.

On your other point, will ships remain factional or do you envisage that there could be three Medium Fighters and that all three are able to be flown by all three playable factions? This would remove many of the balancing issues.

Oh and while I'm at it...are there only going to be 3 playable factions?
