This is a very old and boring argument. If you do your research, pirates tended to be much worse than muggers. They tended not to rob you and then politely send you on your way.

You can't do research on space pirates, as there have never been any. In the Jumpgate universe the pirate tags allow you to steal cargo using a burglar and insight without damaging your PR. Therefore, it's completely logical that being a BuT pirate should be called something else. Simply because one prefers BuT piracy to Jumpgate piracy is no reason to mislabel it

He does make a slightly valid point though, this is off-topic. Jump, could you split this into a separate thread called "BuT Pirates or Muggers?"
