All we can do is talk about it. It's up to NetDevil to keep the hype flowing. We need new things to talk about more often.

mmorg is probably one of the most hard to use sites I have ever found. But at least they are acknowledging Jumpgate Evolution.

Closed beta hasn't even started guys. It's still way to early to be trying to hype up the game. Most gamers have the memory capacity of a gold fish and the attention span of a 5 year old, so getting them worked up about a game they're not gonna see for a long while yet isn't going to help much. IIRC we have some members of this forum already that have said they quit playing Jumpgate because they had to wait too long for Ep II...

I don't know, I have been following the Starcraft 2 hype like a little puppy for a long time and the end is in site. Hype is great as long as it adds to the factual information known about the game.

When they announced StarCraft II I thought for sure it would be two years, but at the rate they're updating the website it'll be only 1.5 years.

Still, I visit the site every couple weeks just to check on the progress. It's also working for Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Regular updates are awesome.

If we consider for a moment that Jumpgate Evolution has been in development for over a year now then if a game takes approx 2 years to retail then we are still 12 months away however, closed beta could start within a few months so i am hopeful that someone will be playing Jumpgate Evolution SOON(tm).

As for the hype, there are a number of games that use Hype to great effect, so long as the information keeps the appetite up and whets the lips then it can only help initial sales.
