A lot of people have come out of the woodwork with various ideas since the announcement.
It wold be nice to see you put your money where your mouth is and login to see how things are now, as opposed to several years ago.
If nothing else it will put old players in a better position to come up with ideas.

Already have, and a lot more are as well. I logged on, saw forexjedi on, asked him when everyone else gets on these days, and he said he had just signed back up too.

A lot of the changes you aren't going to be able to get a feel for with the tiny amounts on the server, so the usefulness of this is kinda limited.

The big challenge here is laying out a game that's going to let a bigger playerbase have freedom and the power to make a difference. It just can't properly be tested with 30 people on the server.

Also: A lot of us 'old players' played back in the day when Jumpgate actually had the players it needed. That was the ultimate Jumpgate I hope comes back again, because we got to see firsthand what made the game so great.

See, when Jumpgate reaches a certain 'critical mass' of players, all the factions start fleshing out. Back in the day, Quantar had noncombat squads, mining squads, militant squads, religious squads, defense squads, you name it.

And stuff was ALWAYS going on, so no matter what 'role' in the universe you chose to play, other players were always pushing your buttons and giving you something to do.

Jumpgate is currently a single player game. I only play multi-player ones.
