Lets vote on a listing of the top 5 most influential pilots in Jumpgate. Perhaps the winners can get special mention in Jumpgate Evolution, such as a piece of equipment named after them?

4) Rollio (he did influence a lot of people...)

LOL, a PVPer exclusive eh? I would have to replace one of those with Hurricane.

Keep in mind the EU folks and the latter era folks might have different opinions.

Err you missed the most important Tritian: GM_Istvan hands down.

Yes that's a good point. I could probably come up with 5 more for the PvE side, although I admit i'm no expert:

off the top of my head:

1) Hurricane
2) InterOrka (despite owing me 10mil, he does move a ton of freight)
3) LupinOne
4) Venom
5) Hink

I kinda excluded him because, since he's a dev now, he can name all the pieces of equipment he wants after himself. :P

Although, it might start to get confusing after a few....

1) The_Tyke - he was responsible for at least a year of my "RP"
2) Dr Kronic - He tought me what it is to be a pirate
3) Karash - He gave me home after I finally got my payback on Tyke
4) Tesrend - He showed me what its like to be a quant
5) Me - Of coarse I'm going to think I had an impact

I think the big question is, "well known" or "influential"? And is this strictly IC or does it include the community as a whole? There have been many "well known" pilots and there have been many that influenced the game. Not all of the well known ones left their influence on the game or community for various reasons.

EDIT: I forgot the last sentance.

Not all those that influenced the game ever really got involved in the community itself.
