Weapon types

By far the most fun weapon I've used in Jumpgate Classic is plasma, its simply good fun even if its considered hard to learn (or maybe because) and I for one hope this substance as a weapon source follows through into Jumpgate Evolution.

What's your fav weapon type?

Re: Weapon types

I always liked the Barraks.

I was an ammo whore. No matter what I could never get down the energy weapons. No matter how many times I died to them I could not get used to them.

The other way around for them. I've started out using Thorns on a 'Phoon, and could not get used to anything else no matter what, energy weapons all the way, no matter which. I don't really know why, but I do know that I detested running out of ammunition.

Re: Weapon types

The thief was my favorite, though it needed to fit on smaller faster ships and have better range. It sure was a blast in the sim though.

Re: Weapon types

Flails>Hitman>Barraks in that order. I like the ability to "reach out and touch" someone.

Re: Weapon types

Personally i found them to be a tool... the right tool for the right job kind of thing. Plasma was fun sure, but my fav's were Flails/HM/Racks and Ions or IJ's if i could get em.

Re: Weapon types

At first I used Hitman/Barrak but later i realized that Thorns were more flexible in PvP, but I haven't mastered the Injustice oder the Shark

Re: Weapon types

Straker/Cobra/Mortar mounted on Gust. You can never have enough machine gun rounds... and it's always fun to fire.

Thats my MO too. Also I developed a sort of gunship mentality to fluxing. going home with unspent rounds (in a pod or otherwise) is almost sort of a fail.
