I wonder if they're going to have instanced missions with their entrances in contested territory, like the dungeon things in WoW. I think it's a bad idea personally. Why force people that want to be left alone into the mean kids sandbox? Just evidence the ND is going to continue the trend of treating non-combat players like second class citizens.

i think theyre appealing to both masses. Carebears get Reg space and PVPers get Unreg space. simple...effective. and those that dont look at the game as PVP vs PVE will just be on both types of zones.

They may not have their vBulletin cookie domain set right. They are also using some kind of bridge to tie it into some kind of NetDevil game database. Plus they are using three domains so it can get complicated. That's why I always set up forums in directories not sub domains. Too darn complicated and a headache for the webmaster. They'll get it licked sooner or later.

All I know is they don't recognize my pilot name (Wild_Bill), nor my Jumpgate Classic password, nor my e-mail address. On top of that, I keep getting errors on their BBS that throws me out and even CTD once. Y'all holler me when they get the thing fixed. As for me, JSR is home enough for now.

okay, so how do we get the neat Pontiac Firebird emblem of Octavia on our Avatar or whatever you call that thing by your name? I'm Octavian, and proud of it, but I can't figure out how to do it (because I'm the stupid Octavian doh!)

Seriously, the only emblem that looks anything like JumpGate is the Quantar emblem. Octavia looks like the firebird emblem and the Solrain is SO Star Trek that it smells of William Shatner's cologne.

Under your user CP it has a box for what faction you roleplay and what faction you pilot...or something like that. Pick quantar sol or oct for the second one and the symbol appears.
