Will Jumpgate Evolution accomodate PVE players?

I just think this is overboard misrepresentation of oldschool Jumpgate for the purposes of manipulation. The guy really wants his turrets.

I will say they're preferrable to a hardwired safety system, but I don't think all this is necessary. Anyway.. give players a chance to repeatedly hide behide civ tags and I just won't play. It won't be Jumpgate.
