Re: Would you play if Jumpgate had no Registry Tags?
Actually, he adapted his role play to arties and it was quite effective when I needed something. Just had to figure out where he was hunting.

Re: Would you play if Jumpgate had no Registry Tags?
I'll play regardless, it's Jumpgate after all.
If there is a tag system of one sort or another and it detracts from my gameplay, I probably won't play as long as I did the first go 'round.(now I understand your "other" comment in the other thread) Edit: I really enjoyed Hink's RP and thought it was great. I was a regular customer for a while there. |

Re: Would you play if Jumpgate had no Registry Tags?
I have played in a 24/7 world where there were no tages,, was a fps. like Jumpgate, but with tanks, copters, art, and a fast recon rover. It was awsome,, one would be shot within five mins of leaving a building.. just to see if you was a newbie or not. After that one could run around fairly safely except when stat paders were active. Then like Jumpgate and with griefers,, ie stat paders.. one tries to know where they are, so you are not a victom.. I could go on, and on,, but its redundent.
I tried the vote, but i think its dead. I vote that i would play with no tags,, I would mine, haul, everything i do now, no tages does not mean death on launch, it means, launch and start an adventure. I honestly think if i had no tages, and was mining in ring view,, OV would fly past me. I also think they would fire on a griefer that was shooting at me. They know the ore i am mining makes the guns they use. They also know know i am a noncombatant in a miner. Just a example, of my beliefs. After all, i have played a FPS with no tags.. ya know. I had that once, In prison. |

Re: Would you play if Jumpgate had no Registry Tags?
I voted "maybe". I would defitely play, but if I wasn't having fun I wouldn't be playing for long. How it's all implemented is much more important to me than whether there are tags or not. I've never played anything but Jumpgate and it was all in retail. There have always been tags in "my world" so it seems normal to me.
When Jumpgate Evolution comes out I will play it. Just can't promise it will be a multi-year addiction like Jumpgate Classic has been/is. I'll just have to wait and see what happens, just like eveyone else. I'm sort of looking forward to what it will be compared to what everyone thinks it should be. |

We really shouldnt be talking or even looking at decent PvP squads for examples its the non decent lamer squads/pilots that are the problem. I dont have a problem with no tags per say. Its no bounty I have the problem with. |

Re: Would you play if Jumpgate had no Registry Tags?
Now i really am curious as to who would actually want to remove bounties? I don't think its anyone here! Bounties could be improved upon IMO but i definitely wouldn't want them removed.

Re: Would you play if Jumpgate had no Registry Tags?
How can you have bounties with no tags, or is every kill going to give you a bounty ?. If thats the case I vote to keep tags as PvP would be a pain in the butt.

Re: Would you play if Jumpgate had no Registry Tags?
Lets be realistic here for a minute. Tags will exist in some form or another. The question was would you play if they didn't exist. Most ppl have indicated they would which just says to me that they understand that space can be dangerous. That there is and IMO should be the potential that you will be shot/blown up/killed. That doesn't mean that ND will remove tags. Its just a question.
I can see that implementing bounties would be a problem but then agian, if everyone understands they can be shot at any time, the only ppl that would continue to play would be those that would accept that risk. I guess i just wanted to see some kind of anti-greifer mechanic but how you would actually go about that would be difficult to say the least. |

Re: Would you play if Jumpgate had no Registry Tags?
If you kill someone TRI is not going to be happy with you. You are costing them insurance money. So I see no reason why we can't still have bounties for all kills even without tags.
Think about it, you take down a fighter, TRI looses say 20m. They put a 20k bounty on you because you are costing them money. Now if you down a tow full of equipement and TRI looses 300m, they put a 300k bounty on you. How about something like that? |
