Re: Jumpgate Evolution down under
I'll be there - as AQM's Aussie rep, it seems only fitting.
Besides, the new city Ducati dealership is having a test ride day Saturday, so that puts me in the right place at the right time (pity the weather's looking ribbish) |

Re: Jumpgate Evolution down under
My primary account was Jameson. When the novelty of flying around Opti wore off, I couldn't bring myself to reset so I started up a 2nd account - Mint. Jumpgate is still very enjoyable as lvl 50, with plenty of things to do, but the memories I had of starting out and levelling up were enough to convince me to create the 2nd.
Both were in AQM (US server), and I hung around a fair while after many of the AQM stalwarts left. Given our time zone difference to the US, things were pretty quiet when I played, but I was sufficiently addicted to artihunting to log in each night and fly around in circles looking for shiney gold things. At the time of my final cancellation, I had some very well equiped ships docked in my POS in Third Gate (we love the bling). Like every one of you, Jumpgate holds a very dear place in my heart and I can't put in words how much I'm looking forward to seeing the new game, and being reunited with so many old friends. It's very sad that they won't all be there, but I'm sure they'll be there in spirit. Bring it on! |

Re: Jumpgate Evolution down under
I hope you guys have fun. You may have played at off hours but now you're the envy of all of us. Have a cold one for those of us left behind and enjoy the show guys.

Re: Jumpgate Evolution down under
Well, I got back from meeting the guys a little while ago.
Screenshots don't do it justice. It's very fluid and has so much 'cool' factor. I'm looking forward to the release (or beta!) soo much! |

The graphics were awesome, the game play is just as good if not better and a new 'flying mode' has been added to help newbies out, to get a hang of the game. Space is sooooooo much bigger now and you can fly around stations like they were 'Deathstars' the scale factor is amazing. It was amazing to play and i cant wait for beta. On a personal note the Jumpgate guys are real top blokes, very easy going and I'd like to thank them very much for taking the time (even though they were exhausted) to meet with us and let us have a play and answering all our questions. Cheers Toph P.S the Jump Gate shimmer looks super cool as does the effects when you're sitting inside one |
