I agree with you, but I'd still like one to be in-game. It adds polish to the product. I even think it would be worth having more than one in-game, adding variety and local flavor.

But yeah, I'd like to be able to turn it off after the ~5th viewing.

Well I think it's a metter of preference. I'm an immersion junkie who flies with the Jumpgate Classic cockpit graphic on, so I think I'd continue to like it.

So you would rather see a blank page while the game transitions from station to space server?

If they could be different for each station that would be cool. Especially if they are not more that a few seconds.

Re: Viva Las Vegas...Jumpgate Style

It would be fine if hitting the launch button I'm instantly at the end of the launchy tubey thing and immeaditaly flung down the tubey into space. Without the unnecessary gimmicks to keep me from being where I want to be in space.

Re: Viva Las Vegas...Jumpgate Style

What would you rather have, the truck or a one time launch sequence?

There has to be some timesink in there to keep instant relaunch from unbalancing sector battles

Re: Viva Las Vegas...Jumpgate Style

I think every pilot that is killed should have to should have to go into avatar mode then run the gauntlet through wonderland and all the Carebear characters. Then they should view the launch sequence and launch. Maybe in Sol it could be the Smurfs.

Space is dangerous and death should have severe penalty.

Good write up. I'm really interested in hearing more on if the weapons will be all ammo based and the more I read the more I look forward to Connect08 to see the game in action for myself.

Great write up, thanks. I really like the mention of focus on fleshing out the beacon flip aspects in regards to pvp. Flipping beacons always led to some of my best dogfights.
