No. The game itself is just losing it's appeal to me. It's a great game in that it is very accessible to casual gamers, yet can keep some of the more hard core folks entertained as well. But I really do prefer sci-fi stuff. There's just something completely gratifying about sending in a mechanized armed force to crush an enemy, and watching all the carnage, explosions, and complete destruction all around. Le sigh....

That was never ever my intention anyway. I only really look down at people who think they have to resort to cheating, scamming or otherwise harassing other players, regardless of whether it's a small indie MMOG or large game like WoW, EQ or EVE.

In fact I'm running a private Ragnarök Online server for my wife and a couple of friends just for fun

That is what turned me off from that game. I had more fun in DAoC dungeons then in WoW instances. Same goes for PvP. Personally, I am waiting for PoBS (that is Pirates of the burning sea, not PoGBS). I am rather interested in how that game turns out. For now, I am playing Aces High 2 on and off. I haven't touched WoW in months.

I also play WOW when I am not in the mood for Licking rocks on EVE. I play on Duskwood.

What I like about it is the quests. I am not about Grinding to levels but enjoying the experience.

You guys are funny. As a reminder, the topic is... "Is anyone else not playing wow?"

Wow crack seems to have taken it's hold.

I'm not. When I have only a few mins to kill on gaming (Jumpgate really takes at least an hour to even bother launching), I do play Blizzard...just not WoW, but StarCraft. There's still a lot of replay value to SC and all the home brew campaigns.

I've never been inclined whatsoever to even seriously consider WoW. Does that count?

(I despise "rollplaying" MMOs. If I suck [and, for the most part, I do ] I want it to be because I screwed the pooch, not that I got a bad dice roll.)

WOW is so popular that even television shows, especially cartoons, mention it. People in real life that I know that are into PC gaming know about it as well.

First, I am not playing WoW nor have I ever. I played UO for quite a while, that was the only fantasy MMO I played. I did however, play CoH, which brings me to:
