I specifically haven't played to avoid that. Jumpgate I know I can walk away from if I need to.

They must be pumping subliminals at an enormous rate.

My son and I are weening off of it. Should be completely out in another month. Besides, with Supreme Commander coming out next month, then C&C 3 in March, WoW should be nothing but a faded memory by April.

PS: Spending $30 a month for a few months does wonders for that "addiction".

I can agree with that. All my gameing will be devoted to these two games.

You have to admit that they have put together a game that IS massively apealing (obviously). The best bit though is the name of the company, Blizzard "Entertainment"

I think thats where they have got it most right. Sure the company is out to make HHHHHOOOOOOOOGE mountains of money but they know that to maintain it they have to keep players entertained and interested. Other companies could learn a lot from them I think.

WoW, like most other MMOGs with a "fantasy" background, just don't interest me. You can call be biased or even intolerant, but if it hasn't got spaceships or at least anti-grav vehicles and robots (or other sorts of mechanoids) in it, I'm just not interested.

That's great Supermax! Everyone has their own tastes. So long as you don't look down your nose at the multitudes of people that play those types of games. Personally, I lean more towards the Sci-Fi end of things, but I like Fantasy a heckuva lot too. When I need my fix of axe-wielding kickin butt and taking names... I turn to FFXI (and the Final Fantasy series). It's all I need. WoW (the second WoW, Jumpgate's was first ~.^), can stick it's head in a lake as far as I'm concerned.

Just because someone doesn't like a genre doesn't make them a snooty. Lot's not be insulting for fear of insults.
