This is now defunct. Please see the links link on the navigation bar above. Well, don't just see it, click it. Much to do but much better than this. Admins/moderators, it should be intuitive as to what you can do with it. So, GET TO WORK!.
Oh, and don't forget descriptions and such. |

The latest PC Gamer (Nov 04) has a nice section on Flight Sims starting on page 43. There were a few games named that weren't already linked from here. They did a nice job of reusing a screenshot from S&R4 for the games in the same position for the next two pages. Hooray for copy/paste. Anyway, here's a quick summary of the games mentioned:
Ground School: FS 2004, X-Plane, and Search & Rescue 4: Costal Heroes. Advanced Flight School: Full Canvas Jacket Superpatch (for Red Baron 3-D), Strike Fighters: Project 1, and Firepower Add-On for Combat Flight Sim 3 Top Guns: Lock On: Modern Air Combat, IL-2 Sturmovik: Forgotten Battles / Aces Expansion Pack, Falcon 4.0 (Superpak 4.1) Some games seemed rather dated moreso than others (Falcon 4.0 is what, like 6 years old now?). They also discuss sticks (Saitek Cybord Evo and 3D Force get a mention, as well as CH Fighterstick, X45, HOTAS, and CH Pro Pedals and Throttle) and some neat peripherals like TrackIR 3 which tracks your head movements for your view onscreen, and a throttle quadrant from CH with a bunch of throttle levers and switches for that yummy analog feel. |

Pssst - add them to the links list
![]() I know you're a mod, so you may not have seen the "this thread is obsolete" (since mods can post despite the locked thread thingy), but we now have a linkies list (you can find it on the top bar) that you can add all those lil cool things on ![]() |
