It would be nice....

Plus steam has the ability to message people in game without actually being in the game. For example in my system tray I can open 'friends' then select someone playing and send them a message (to their background, does not interrupt the game) in their game.

This is an absolute must IMHO for Jumpgate Evolution, the ability to talk to players in game, even if you are not currently playing. Either through a tool like steam, or an in game messaging system tied to the forums or something.

Ya know there are a ton of reasons I hate steam but I have to admit that after I built my new machine it was awfully nice to install steam leave the computer on over night and all my games were on the machine in the morning.

Would this be their first subscription based game? Do you pay steam the monthly charge or what? I know, I should just go look. I am to lazy.

I dont know how that works Jump....

Normally with Steam, you buy the game and its free to playonline, not a monthly "wallet drain"

shit.. maybe I'll get into eve after all. Absolutely love steam. Almost all the games I got last year I got through it.
