Aww, the memories of being 12 years old and sleeping over at my friends house playing Civ II on his Mac all night...
I've actually managed to resist Steam, since I'm probably the poorest bastard here. I am considering shelling out dollars for Portal though... looks alot cheaper then halucenigenic drugs.  |

Well I got Civ IV working last night, but I have no idea how. I had deleted the Steam folder the night before, so re-installed everything, downloaded the game and off it went working just fine. Guess the gaming gods just didn't want me screwing around on Sunday when I had the time to really play.

It worked fine for me. Maybe it was just a bad download. I got the beyond the sword expansion with it. It's not released yet but should be any day.

I bought The Ship via Steam, but wasnt able to play it much because looks like my machine is slow for it. I can play with them bots and have some giggles and laughs (its hilarious) but is not the same as playing online.
BTW what made me buy the game (almost 1 year ago) was a forum thread on their website, after page 3 I was crying like a baby (laughing result) and trying to hold my silent laughter cause all of this was after 1am lol. Download took 1 day I think (slow DSL here) but is nice being able to have updates and all from the same engine. Game was also near $20 back then. I plan on getting CS:S but Im not so sure cause I have this feeling that its going to be harder on my machine, still, for $9.95.... ELP |
