Something you peeps aint seen.
Terra-Battle For The Outlands..... Terra - Battle For The Outlands
I looked this game up to see if it was still alive and yeh it is. When i left it was in the hands of a player that had bought it from the developers, and was almost unplayable, with low player numbers, and the new owner trying to "fix" the game. I saw yesterday that the game is as active as i have ever seen it, cuppla hundred active players, 10 to 20 forts a day being built and destroyed. There are three vins, (ie things you can fly or drive) that a peep can fly. Most use a joystick for the chopper. i have not played after they added the two additional planes. one is a bomber, the other is a interceptor. There is a game function where different configs can be saved so if a player changes vin types, he has the controls set for that type of vin. This combat specific game is probably more then most can handle that play Jumpgate tho. Its not for the weak, whiners get griefed unendingly, newbies blow up seconds after they get into their first vin. But everyone has the same equipment. There are no lvls. You never run out of cash in the first ten static forts that players fight over for cash. Rank is based on kills, deaths subtract from the kill total. bots count also, bot kills are a seperate stat. so you can make sargent one day and get demoted to corp the next. Perks like handeling cash, making a fuel dump, ammo dump, mobilebase, setting defences, forming a clan, come with higher rank. Like any good combat game its designed for combined forces combat, there is a artilary vin, that fires 20 km. Like todays laser targeting, a player can lase a target when hes cloked or uncloked (clokers are short lived so dont think cloking is a win button) and the how will see it and fire. Two tanks, two recon, three flying vins, one how. Mobilebases and forts have defences, repluser fields, turrents called thugs, combination of bots, that can be programed, radar, powerplant. The clans cash is in the mobilebases, forts. No peep has cash, just the clans. The spawn is controled with a guarge, that can be moved by each player before he spawns so campers dont have it easy. There are islands, recon run over the water, tanks under it. There are magnetic mines, droped mines, air bursts, point blank shootouts. Fog of war, dust clouds during large battles so you run into the foes before you can see them.. If its heart stoping combat with 20 30 peeps in the same theater, i cant think of a better game. Lol,,, hears one for you. When a fort is captured, the defenders that are in the fort all leave in one rescue chopter, which somene in the capturing force usuly shoots down, and gets the kill shot on everyone in the chopter. The game picks your side for you, so you dont get a brain cramp deciding which side to take. If one wants a specific side, he has to reset until that side is picked. Theres a training camp you go to so you can set your config, and get used to the controls, basicly until you can hit the instructor, which is a nice girly voice, or was. And dont shoot your side, it is a frag, and it counts on your total kills. Cheers. ![]() |

Re: Somting you peeps aint seen.
I checked out the game.
There are five or so active fighting clans. The rest are peacefull players that like to build and try to stay out of conflicts. The cool thing is there is a US and Spainish war going on. Some from south america and alot from Portugal, Spain. Yesterday alone 10 or so new peeps entered the game, the new player list is awsome. One can operate all the vins with a JS. So while there are alot of vets with advanced combat skills. There are alot of newbies to hone skills with. And if warner is there, he camps your start point to welcome you to the game with a podride. There are also drill instructors to help with the interface, teach how to take forts, and shoot griefers trying to pad their stats. I think ill be there until beta starts, i like to build. And i can defend my stuff against three players usuly for a cuppla hrs anyways.. ![]() O its free beta, has been for six years or so. One can download the client and observe ingame peeps. So one can see some battles just observing. The end,, |
