UT GOTY 4.36 patch

Hey:

Do any of you know where I can get this patch? I dont remember in which version I am, I think Im on the CD version. Having no CC its being a pain and since my CounterStrike CD dont think will work anymore... only other game I have I can try and play is either UT GOTY or Quake II, and would love finding a server in which to play the original maps (I have many other maps stored which I can 'share', but we'd need a server first.

I know I know, but untill I get the CC situation fixed... I'll have to play something not-Jumpgate.

Did you ever get your steam ID for Counterstrike? You should be able to register it if you have the CD-Key on the back and create a steam ID and download the beast.

Actually didnt know I could do that. I made a Steam ID and bought the Ship via steam but never tried to have my old CS with it... any instructions about it would be nice, I miss playing this over the net.

PS: Im playing CS1.6 but is one of those torrent things, I use it on my LAN exclusively, but would use my CD/updated for online.

PS2: Found the patch lol (the UT one)

Well, I loaded Steam and found a section about activating keys and it did, Im now waiting to get sent to the other section in which I can update it.

PS: I thought I would download a small update, but is downloading a 800meg file, which is good anyways, I didnt have to buy it again. I guess this will be the 1.6, which Im totally fine with it, but It'll take around 4 hours to finish the download. Guess I'll be able to play tomorrow

Good to hear. I'd try and find you as I have 1.6 on steam also, but don't you live in south america or something? I doubt we'd be able to find a server where we both had an acceptable ping.

Im not south america

Im caribbean, which is close to miami

Im not too worried about my ping, I remember when I used to play over dialup, my nickname was 300+ and I was decent. Unfortunately, started playing with bots soon as I noticed I was getting kicked from everywhere.

When playing 1 on 1... (which shouldnt be, as is a team game).. ping may matter, but with a 8 on 8 it wont be that bad (unless I get a ping of 600).
