Re: BSG Final Season

There were times where I totaly loved the show but the 3rd season only had a few good episodes the rest were filler crap that didn't move the plot lines at all.

I will watch tonight but I'm not expecting much.

Yeah, the filler crap was balls. I liked a bunch of it, though who's shagging who wasn't very interesting....except that since the chief is a cylon...didn't he and his right hand wench make a baby?

Ultimately, I watched because I liked a lot of the characters..Baltar, Helo, (looking at Starbuck)...and the fact there were hot girl robots. It was certainly one of the best shows on TV at the time, and a hell of a lot less formulaic than Stargate.

Re: BSG Final Season

haha.. I read THE END script(secret download from internet).. they got 2.. one is that on Earth there was a group of people with mass delusions, they were exposed to a gas and when they were healed, they told what they saw, witch was BSG.

2nd end was something about how they got to earth and everyone there was already killed by their own robots (they mixed it with Terminator) so they commited suecide, but the robots didnt like eachother so another war started, Terminators vs Cylons.. comming maybe in a movie ..

Re: BSG Final Season

I was a huge fan of the new BSG and the first episode this season really disappointed. It was pretty much a trailer for the first-half of the next season... Goddamn space opera.

I felt the third season was weaker than the first two, especially the second-half. Then Razor came out and gave me something to cheer for. They'd better pick things up in the next episode or I will start pirating the damn show.

Best written show on TV. Yup...drama. I like it. One of the few shows I go out of my way to watch.

The other being House MD

Re: BSG Final Season

Nah, house is terribly formulaic too. Mysterious disease + character development, rinse and repeat.

Curious though Jump, how many episodes have you seen? It sounds like you firmly hate it and I can't imagine you being able to tolerate more than 3 or 4 episodes...but that's not enough to judge it accurately...just like the first 15 minutes of Jumpgate weren't enough

Re: BSG Final Season

What am I shallow now? I have been watching Sci-Fi since before most of you were born. Help me out here Ambro. *shakes his cane at the whippersnappers.*

I watched the whole first two seasons but not with my kids. We watched the first few but when I have to keep turning it off so the cast can have sex in the middle of a battle then no, it's not something that should be in prime time. I won't even get into all the commercials that want us to think that not a man alive can get a hard on anymore. Oh wait, I just did. No I Tivo'd it and watched it later in the week alone.

My youngest asked me why those people are crying all the time. lol

Re: BSG Final Season

I watches the first few episodes of the first season. Stopped watching.

I've watched scattered episodes here and there just to see if there's anything new or different. Still the same bad acting and a plot where you need to watch regularly to truly "get it" (which I can't be bothered with for BSG or any other show -- too many more important things on TV like sports, sports, sports, sports and sports ).

Re: BSG Final Season

Im curious, you say its on in prime time? Does SciFi not reschedule things for the west coast? Its on at 10pm est, which would make it 7pm on the west coast if they don't reschedule.

If not, thats really kind of dumb, because its not a kids show.

Anyways, I love the show, sure it had some weaker episodes, but for the most part, it has been quality. Whats wrong with mixing your drama with your science fiction? Frankly I think its about time scifi grew up and stopped giving us the same ham fisted stories recycled ad nauseum. I can only take so many space nazis, static warp shells and deflector dish saves before I call boring...
