Re: BSG Final Season
Yeah, I'm a hardcore BSG lover, and I agree, this last episode was 100% fluff.

Re: BSG Final Season
Glad I don't waste my time watching sucky shows!
Friday night I was in sports heaven with basketball, baseball and hockey all on simultaneously (with a touch of Masters highlights to boot). |

Re: BSG Final Season
This season is driving me crazy half of every episode I like a lot and half makes me want to fly to california to slap the writers in the face.
WTF is up with the 2 week wait for a new episode? I thought they took all that time to insure that didn't happen? |

Re: BSG Final Season
I think the problem with the show is they aren't having any indepth story telling. The entire season feels rushed and therefore sucks. I watched this week and was left thinking, how do the Cylons have a civil war that lasts 10 secs. How do the rebels not expect an attack when they go to unbox the 3s together? Wouldn't the rebels keep a resurrection ship under their control? Are they retarded? Are we to assume that only one rebel base star survived? If all the models tend to vote in line with their kind, wouldn't there be approximately 50% of the cylon fleet with the rebels and 50% with the non-rebels? Considering the rebels got the jump on the non-rebels they probably should have been able to take command of a lot more than 50% of the fleet before the non-rebels new what was happening. If the rebels have fewer than 50% of the cyclon fleet how do all the rebels get killed and are down to one ship after one engagement? That is illogical and stupid.
The whole resurrection hub ship concept is fine, but the humans shouldn't have been suprised to learn about it. They have Athena with them, so should she have told them everything about the cyclon? Maybe she couldn't tell them where the resurrection hub ship was located, but she would have shared the existance of the ship with the human fleet. I can accept that the destruction of the hub ship might knock out resurrection for a time, but wouldn't the cyclons just rebuild? Finally WTF was the president thinking plugging the hybrid back in? Wouldn't the cyclons know that as soon as you plug her in she will resume control of the ship? Wouldn't you take steps to remove her control before waking her up? The hybrid had one of the human-cyclons killed to prevent her unplugging, so they had to know she wasn't going to work with them. All of it seems forced, rush, and pretty stupid. I'm disappointed with the show over the past 2 seasons. The show presents a lot of cool ideas, but never develops them. It could have been a really great season with some better indepth story telling. |

Re: BSG Final Season
Ahh cubby, your putting too much thought into this man.
I could quote that massive block of text, and come up with replies to just about everything you don't understand/like, but, well, its just not worth it. It sounds like regardless you won't like the show, and thats cool man. I love it. I must say, recently its been more half love half dislike.... Like this last episode the beginning was awesome, but the whole Baltar thing is growing old on me and seems like a waste of good blow em up space action time they could be using. |

Re: BSG Final Season
See to me, there is a ton of depth, more than I can fathom.
I've watched the whole thing I think 5 or 6 times, and each time I pick up one something I missed before....too much to process. That said, this last season it really feels like they are jam packing it all in though, like this whole cylon civil war thing. I agree its all moving very fast, and the way its going now I'm not sure how they are going to close all these loose ends by the end of the season.... I just hope to hell we arnt all disappointed with the finale. |
